Getting Your Real Estate License
The initial real estate license in Tennessee is called an Affiliate Broker license. With the following steps, you can start the process toward a successful real estate career!
Step #2: Pass the Tennessee State Exam
There are two parts to the exam – National and Tennessee State Law. With 40+ years experience, CLI has an excellent pass rate!
Step #3: Complete Course for New Affiliate Brokers (30-Hours)
License candidates must complete this course prior to obtaining the license. The Course for New Affiliate Brokers is available in an easy-to-understand home study format. It is a practical course on how to get started and be successful in the real estate business. Order through the website and choose if you would like it mailed or if you would like to pick the course up from the office. The Course for New Affiliate Brokers is a home study/self guided course.
Course Fee: $185, including all materials. (shipping fee not included)
Step #4: Affiliate with a Real Estate Company
You have now successfully passed the real estate exam and completed the 60 hours of Prelicensing classes and the 30-hour Course for New Affiliate Brokers.
The final step is selecting a real estate company with which to affiliate. There are many companies looking for new full-time or part-time agents.

Additional Exam Prep Available
If you would like some extra test preparation, consider taking the optional home study Accelerated Review Course and or the
study the Tennessee Exam Prep Booklet for additional practice.
You can register at any time. You’ll receive the course textbook and an email link to the video instruction. Students will have access to the videos for 30 days from the date they access the link. Start when you want to!
Course Fee: $115 ($100 for CLI students).
Individual Tutoring
You may ask all types of questions during class and breaks. Some students may, however, want some additional tutoring, and CLI has instructors available for one-on-one instruction at a nominal charge.
Exam Prep Books
Unlike some other schools, the textbook and all materials are included in your Prelicensing course fee. For extra preparation, CLI has a bookstore available with additional sample test booklets and other study aids.

Audit Policy
CLI has an audit policy for previous students who are having trouble passing their state and/or national exam on the first try. Auditing is only allowed during the 60-hour Prelicensing courses. Auditing a class is only available within the first year from the original date of purchase. Contact the office for more details.
**NOTE: Students must contact the office prior to auditing.
Refund Policy:
Payments are valid for one year. Courses must be completed within a year from the date of purchase to receive credit for the course.
Refunds are approved at the discretion of Continual Learning Institute.
Refund requests must be received within the year from the date of purchase for consideration.
Course material will need to be returned in “new” condition for a full refund request.
CE Broker
CEBroker.com is the official CE tracking system for the Tennessee Real Estate Commission (TREC). The Commission has partnered with CE Broker to allow education providers quicker access to report continued education. CE Broker also allows licensees to check compliance and receive additional reminders about their license renewal. There is no requirement to create an account with CE Broker as all licensee renewal information will still be completed through CORE.
